43 Miilion...

43 million U.S. taxpayer dollars spent to build a natural gas station in Afganistan that should have only cost 500 thousand. The Pentagon is keeping silent on this matter. Nice....oh well, they can make that up by cutting a few more benefits to the needy here at home.

Our government wants to make Afganistan "less dependant" on foreign oil by converting their vehicles over to natural gas. It will cost app. $700 per vehicle to switch over, the average Afgani makes app. $680 a year. Who do you think will pay for this ? This is a disgrace !!! We have veteran programs begging for money to help disable vets because the government doesnt have the funds, yet we have BILLIONS to send overseas with alot of that money going towards arms to kill our soldiers ! State governments are cutting school funding and raising taxes because of dwindeling federal resources...but still, BILLIONS are sent overseas to build NEW schools ( which are promptly blown up) and to feed and clothe the citizens in Iraq.

Is it Full Service or Self Service I mean if it's Full Service then 43 million sounds about right.

I tried to get the Veterans Administration to cover my ball replacement procedure but was denied, they deemed it " cosmetic" and would not cover it. But I'll bet a dollar to a donut if Habeeb over in Iraq got his nut shot off by Isis the U.S. government would give him a diamond studded nut, meanwhile, I have to suffice with some flesh colored duct tape and a walnut.

More like Habeeb would be airlifted to the Mayo Clinic were 20 procedures costing more then $50 million, plus US citizenship would be given to him for his service, plus he would be sent to UCLA all paid for my us, a new car and a home. Plus his parents would be given there own 7-11.

Hell in this country a man can't get the government to help get a dying man a power chair so he can get around a little better.

I spent 3 years in the regular Army, 3 years in the Army reserve and 8 years in the Army National Guard. When the plant I worked at for 20 years closed back in 2003 with most of the work shipped overseas I looked into possibly buying a little motel here in Janesville, there were two of them for sale. I couldnt afford the down payments on either. 6 months later, I find out that both were "bought" by people that spoke no english with help from the government that subsidized their down payments.

Sad but true, we have millions of American living at or below the poverty level and yet we help thousands of aliens every year set up new homes and businesses at no cost to them, free and clear.

At one point I was partners with some friends in a night club. we wanted to remodel the club, I when to 5 different banks here in Denver and even thou we owned the building the banks were less then willing to lend us the money, even thou our books shown we had made good money for years. A couple of banks stated that if we got the SBA to back us that they would do the loan. It took months to get all the paperwork done, when we were ready we turned the paperwork over to a lawyer that handled SBA paperwork. He told us that all our paperwork was in order and we had more then enough equity to get the loan, but since none of us were minorities it would be an up hill battle, one of my partners was black and 2 other were Mexican of which one was a woman. It wasn't until we gave our long time account 5% of the business that the loan sailed right through, he was a first generation Vietnamese.
