Is it harder to watch the games this year?
0

Seriously, is it just me?  I normally cannot get enough football, but this year I find it very hard to watch a complete game.

I am finding the overall play bad and what isn't bad is just boring.

Then we get into the exaggerated delays and commercial breaks.  Seems we have 8-9 real time minutes of game play and they break for commercial only to return for some declaration/kick and off for another 10 minute commercial break.  And they wonder why viewership is down.

I find I watch the condensed replay the next day instead of the full 3 hour broadcast. Takes less than an hour all told.

I realize if the Bears were mauling their opponents, I would most likely be glued to the tube. But they aren't. (Pun intended)

The non-stop over-hype of the NFL off season just makes it so oversaturated.  By the time the games come around I have already stopped listening.

Are any of you getting bored with the NFL?

The attendance Sunday was just 48,408 with 11,086 no-shows. ...

Barkley helped the Bears convert 9-of-17 third downs (53 percent), their most third-down conversions and best percentage in any game this season. ...

The Bears did not record a sack or a takeaway for the second straight game.

They have forced just one turnover in their last four contests.

Who the hell is Daniel Brown?

Pretty sure he was working at Starbucks last week!

How long till Bears Fans start calling him "Downtown Danny Brown"?

LOL, don't feel bad. I didn't know who Daniel Brown was either until I looked it up on Wikipedia.

Oh it's not that bad as long as you only watch the first half.

And that is all I have been able to do this year. I watch the first half, then walk away in disgust.

honestly Im loyal to one team in such a way that I simple cannot get any interest out of any other game unless the Bears are playing.

and thats more so as of late do to the circus the NFL has become, like another poster said.

ever since free agency and all of that, it seems slowly but surely something has been missing from THE GAME....which is exactly what it is....so many players current and former have beat into everyones head how "this is a business" blah blah blah...sure that is the case in some ways, but its still a fkn game...please players just sthu...now its just another hollywood type drama cluster F*** with all this me me attitude most of them have now...its also political....hell you cant even watch sports news without getting some dumbass agenda being shoved down your throat...espn...first take...mike and mike...list goes on and on. These clowns are all just full of hot air and opinions just like everyone else...twiiter wars and social media attakce on eachother...so lame. I can go on and on.

what ever happened to just getting pure analysts announcing a game or reporting the damn sports news?

I can only hope Hockey stays somewhat unpopular compared to other sports so its not also corrupted by greed and raped of its love for the game.

oh yeah...and fantasy football sucks ass too. :)

I don't know, I have only gotten to see two games so far. Against the Lions and then against the Vikings. I enjoyed both games.

Train like you are 2nd, but play like you are 1st.
